EVERY SUNDAY: Each Sunday, the Great Lakes Maritime Center, 51 Water Street, will show free maritime-related movies at 1:30 p.m. for the public. For more movie information, call the Center at 810-985-4817.

EVERY TUESDAY & SATURDAY: The 11th Annual Vantage Point Farmer's Market is held from 8 to 2 each Tuesday and Saturday thru October 28 outside the Great Lakes Maritime Center. Among the wonders you'll find are fruits, vegetables, wine, honey, maple syrup, bison meat, baked goods, jams, jellies, mushrooms, beef, pasties, cheese, pasta and sauces, pork, lotions, soaps, crafts and photography.

JULY 22 (Saturday): The 14th Annual Model Boat Show will be from 10 to 3 in the Maritime Center, 51 Water Street. It is free and open to everyone. For more, contact Tom at 810-329-4658 or Doug at 810-327-2016 or the Maritime Center at 810-985-4817.

JULY 22 (Saturday): This is also the day of the famous Port Huron-to-Mackinac Sailboat Race. So bring a lawn chair and sit outside the Maritime Center. It's the perfect place to watch race entries leave for the Lake Huron starting line.  It's also a great spot to take pictures!
