EVERY SUNDAY: Each Sunday, the Great Lakes Maritime Center, 51 Water Street, will show free maritime-related movies at 1:30 p.m. for the public. There will not be a movie on August 27 because of a special presentation. See below for additional information. For more movie information, call the Center at 810-985-4817.

AUGUST 27 (Sunday): Kirsten Lyons, Stewardship Director of the Blue Water River Walk, will offer a presentation followed by a Q&A session at 1:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Maritime Center, 51 Water Street. Ms. Lyons will talk about the River Walk. She also hopes to inspire people to explore habitat gardening. The event will be about 45 minutes.

EVERY TUESDAY & SATURDAY: The 11th Annual Vantage Point Farmer's Market is held from 8 to 2 each Tuesday and Saturday thru October 28 outside the Great Lakes Maritime Center, 51 Water Street. Among the wonders you'll find are fruits, vegetables, wine, honey, maple syrup, bison meat, baked goods, jams, jellies, mushrooms, cheese, pasta and sauces, pork, lotions, soaps, crafts and more.
