Events & Information...

THE GREAT LAKES MARITIME CENTER at Vantage Point continues to be a favorite spot for area residents and visitors alike.  They spend time watching freighters, enjoying a cup of coffee, or just relaxing without a care in the world.  So far, in 2017 (and we didn't open until March 13), we've had 13,102 visitors at the Center. In 2016, we had 153,589 visitors.

BELL OF RECOGNITION:  Many have asked how they can contribute to the Great Lakes Maritime Center (51 Water Street) for themselves, in memory of someone, or as a gift to someone still enjoying the Center. We are pleased to bring to your attention the Bell of Recognition now hanging in the Maritime Center. Near it is a plaque with contributors; names. Donations are used for artifacts, books, and other treasures enjoyed at the Center. If you would like to make a contribution to the Bell of Recognition, talk to a volunteer

EVERY SUNDAY: Each Sunday (except June 18 - see below) this spring and summer, the Great Lakes Maritime Center presents a maritime-related movie at 1:30 p.m. The movies are free to the public. For more movie information, call the Maritime Center at 810-985-4817.
